Housing @ Loughborough
How to apply for your room
All applications for Halls accommodation are conducted online – no paperwork to complete!
Once you have your academic offer and you have made Loughborough your firm choice you will be able to start to apply for your accommodation.
As a Postgraduate student, you can apply by the Room Preference method only.
Reserving a room online
If you reserve a room online, you can choose where you want to live from a selection of available room types in a specific Hall of Residence. You will be required to accept the Terms & Conditions of occupancy and accept the online contract. Once you have been issued with a Loughborough University registration number, you will then use this to pay the room bond to secure the contract – the room bond should be paid within 8 days of the issue of your registration number.
Landlords and agents will start to market their properties from as early as November for the following academic year. There is no need for you to feel pressured into securing accommodation as there is plenty to go around. Take your time to get to know the town and the people that you may want to share with. Committing yourself to something too early could result in a very costly mistake.
